In Southeast Asia, currently weak demand for Australian wheat & no major trade movements in the market.
In China, demand for Australian red sorghum is stable to low. This week, bulk business was reported at U$275/MT to CFR China, & container offers are at U$270/MT (F/M). There is no trade movement in Australian GMB & Kaspa peas at the moment. Demand for Australian feed barley remains slow as buyers are more preferring Russia & Kazakhstan barley, with offers quoted at U$255/MT to CFR China via containers.
In Pakistan, demand for Australian desi chickpeas is slow, with trade reported this week at U$680-85/MT to CFR Karachi (J) via containers. There is minimal trade demand for Australian red lentils, with bulk offers quoted at U$680MT. It is also reported that Canadian crimson lentils in bulk traded at U$660/MT to CFR Karachi.
In India, Australian desi chickpeas trade is slow & limited, with container business reported this week at U$705/MT (D) & U$695/MT (J) to CFR Nhava Sheva. No trade movement in Australian red lentils.
In Bangladesh, there is a slow demand for Australian desi chickpeas & red lentils, with bulk offers quoted at U$690/MT for CHK1 & U$680/MT NIP1/HAL1 to CFR Chittagong via containers.
In Nepal, demand slowdown in Australian desi chickpeas, red lentils & canola, with offers quoted for U$715/MT; U$730/MT & $615/MT to CFR Birgunj (J)
In Egypt, nothing much happening in faba beans & lupins this week, offers quoted U$505/MT for Faba (Warda type) & Lupins at U$520/MT (J/F) to CFR Damietta via containers.
